Dropping bombs from 15,000 feet,
dodging anti-aircraft fire.
Raining death and destruction,
on the faceless enemy is courage.
To save a comrade by killing
an enemy, trying to save his comrade.
Silencing the courage of a scoundrel,
who was a hero to his side.
Or, when friends and neighbors
scream kill, kill in frenzied unison,
courage is to stand firm and say “NO”.
A lone voice piercing that din!
